Sense-ational Science Day5

Right after Gratitude Circle, we played “A Warm Wind Blows for anyone who…” Then they filmed their original play "How the Firefly Got It's Bioluminescence" which they will perform later today.

Then during snack time we played Observation (change one small thing about yourself and we have to guess what you changed) and went to the obstacle course. 

Today focused on the sense of smell and taste. We did a team challenge "Name That Smell". They had to identify 5 different fruits using their sense of smell. Then we discussed how to balance flavors when cooking (for example if something is too spicy add sweet or sour to help balance it out). Then they did a flavor challenge (starting with 2 tablespoons of water they could add stevia, lime, salt or flavor drops to make a tasty drink and we voted for our favorite. 

Then during lunch we played “Observation” and then went to the creek. Lastly, they performed the live version of their play for parents and guardians.
