Sense-ational Science Day 5

Right after Gratitude Circle, we filmed their original play "How the Catfish Got Their Sense of Taste". We had to film it due to thunderstorm during the play performance time at 2pm.

Then during snack time we played Observation (change one small thing about yourself and we have to guess what you changed). Then we went to the creek (again because of potential bad weather later in the day).

After creek, we ate lunch. During lunch we played "Why are you Late?"

Then we did our lessons/activities for the day. Today focused on the sense of smell and taste. We did a team challenge "Name That Smell". They had to identify 10 different fruits using their sense of smell. Then we discussed how to balance flavors when cooking (for example if something is too spicy add sweet or sour to help balance it out). Then they started with 2 tablespoons of water and 1/2 tablespoon of liquid stevia and they had to add either sour (lime), spice (hotsauce), salt or other flavors to balance it out. Then we ran out of time before doing a round of sour and spicy. Oh! We also visited the bunnies in their hutch.
