Wonderful Water Day 1

We started with Gratitude Circle and a couple games to learn each other's names. Then we did Suminagashi ink painting (marbling with the ink floating on top of water and rice paper dipped into the water to soak up the ink). Next, we had a snack break and discussed characters and plot ideas for their original play to be performed on Friday at 2pm. I will also send a link to a recorded version for those unable to attend. After going to the obstacle course for a little bit, we looked at a few shipwrecks around the world and played “Shipwrecked” (working with your team members you need to collect resource cards that help you survive several nights before being rescued). Lastly, we had lunch and went to the creek. Some campers made things from the natural creek clay, others played in the splash zone or tried to catch fish. Then at dismissal, some did archery or magnetic marble run.
