Day 2 (Australia) of 2nd Session...

Today we put on an Aboriginal Folktale play called Rainbow Serpent, discussed ocean acidification causes and effects as well as how we can help reduce it. Then we played Whale Jenga, studied the Great Barrier Reef and its wildlife, played Coral Reef Rover and drank lemon myrtle tea with kangaroo jerky for snack. After that we talked about Nawarla Gabarnmung and Aboriginal Cave Art and made some of our own on wood (instead of bark or cave walls). We also talked about Australian wildlife (marsupials, monotremes, dingoes, tazmanian devil, inland taipan, death adder and cane toad), played Cane Toad vs Dingos vs Inland Taipan, made boomerangs and explored a different part of the creek...
